Our Partnership with Alendvic
It was in 1999 when Southern Fried Chicken met the Alendvic Company, and entered into talks to expand the brand into Russia with them, starting in the Perm region.
Alendvic was an ideal candidate for a partnership, as they had a long history of success with both franchises, and quick service restaurants. They started in 1993 with a photo booth, the success of which has now led to a network of 25 Kodak Express stores, 18 of which in the city of Perm itself, and 7 in the surrounding area. In 1998, they partnered with the largest producer of world famous ice cream brand Baskin Robbins, and began to open a chain of stores.
Acknowledging the experience they had and that Alendvic would be a perfect partner, an agreement was swiftly reached and the first store was opened in the city in 2000. They trained their managers and stuff very well, and the cleanliness of the stores & great customer service skills have led to the Southern Fried Stores being one of the most popular restaurants in Russia, a fact reflected by the 25 stores they now have opened in the area, in just 10 years.
In 2010, Southern Fried Chicken was re-branded. Given a new, modern look, the idea was to attract more customers and improvements were made right across the stores. New menu photography was produced, new marketing aids delivered and the overall shops themselves were enhanced to reflect the tastes and trends of the modern day diner. New menu items were introduced, such as the breakfast program, which gave the stores an option of opening earlier and attracting a new range of customers. New, reversible menu signs were also introduced, to quickly & effectively change from the breakfast offers to the core items of the great tasting lemon pepper coated chicken.
Alendvic re-branded in August of 2010. The new look and feel of the restaurants have led to an increase in sales of 15%, and in September the introduction of the breakfast program led to a customer increase to the store of 20%.
They are looking to re-branding all of their stores, and Southern Fried Chicken looks forward to continuing success and expansion into Russia with Alendvic.
